Jochen Bauerreis, in his capacity as director of research was a member of the jury during the presentation of the thesis of Mr Gustavo VIEIRA DA COSTA CERQUEIRA which took place on 3 September 2014. The thesis was entitled “Legal incorporation of supranational commercial companies” and put forward a system of incorporation for a Mercosur company by reference to European company law.
Thanks to videoconferencing technology, Mr João GRANDINO RODAS, a Professor at São Paolo University was also able to attend the presentation of the thesis as a Director of research in Brazil. The members of the jury also comprised Professors Jean-Sylvestre BERGE and Véronique MAGNIER, as reporters. Professors José Gabriel ASSIS DE ALMEIDA and Luiz Olavo BAPTISTA were members of the Brazilian jury.
