Jochen Bauerreis, in his capacity as an expert of the European Bar Council working group on European Private law, took part in a European Conference on 5 September 2014 on the topic “Moving towards a single digital market: the proposal of a Regulation on a Common European Sales law (CESL)”.
In the presence of several MEPs as we ;; as numerous academics and professionals, the conference took place in the largest European university, La Sapienza in Rome. The conference concluded with talks from the European Justice Commissioner and the Italian Minister of Justice.
The conference considered issues relating to the single market, the role of the CESL, market improvement and the protection of consumers via the CESL.
