Jochen BAUERREIS in his capacity of German doctoral supervisor was part of the jury at the disputation of the doctoral thesis of Viviane Ebersold which took place on 29 of May 2015 on the subject: “Der Gesellschafterwechsel im Kapitalgesellschaftsrecht – Eine rechtsvergleichende Untersuchung zum deutschen und französischen Gesellschaftsrecht“. Among the members of the jury were also Prof. Dr. Michel Storck – the French doctoral supervisor – as well as Prof. Dr. Marc-Philippe Weller and Prof. Dr. Hanno Merkt, LL.M. (Univ. of Chicago).
The doctoral thesis especially treats for the international M&A practice upcoming questions like:
- the legal meaning of „Closing“
- right of pre-emption and right of option
- transferability and voting procedures
- valuation of shares
