Conducting a seminar on the theme „ How to use european legal instruments in civil law matters – conflict of law rules“, February 11 and 12, 2015 in Brussels
At the invitation of the Delegation of the Bars and Law Societies of France in Brussels and its President, Mr. Jean-Jacques Forrer, former president of the Strasbourg Bar, member of the Strasbourg and Brussels bars, Jochen BAUERREIS animated and coordinated a seminar on February 11 and 12 , 2015, destined to lawyers interested in private international law, dealing with the theme „ How to use european instruments in civil law matters – conflict of law rules“.
The seminar consisted of the presentation and resolution of three case studies on the following aspects:
- the applicable law in service contracts matters (specific case of tort actions)
- the applicable law in employment contracts
- the applicable law in Licence agreements (environmental damage, competition law and defamation).
